Where to begin??!! The last time we purchased a home was in 1983. Obviously a lot has changed since then. Not knowing how to pick a good real estate agent, We took a chance with an independent that might give us the more personal touch but it didnt turn out so well. I then happened on the TLK Group just by accident in my early search of homes and was put in touch with Sarah Ruffner. She was EXACTLY what we were looking from the moment we met her. We wanted someone to be honest, upfront, knows their stuff and thats Sarah!! I cant say enough good things about her and she showed us quite a few homes - meeting us at a moments notice (if she could). When she was booked, her assistant Perla Martinez stepped in and SHE didnt miss a beat. Between the two ladies we toured a lot of homes until we found the right one. Even then, both ladies continued working with us until the ink was dry. Job well done Sarah and Perla!!!!

After a disasterous experience with our first Portland real estate agent, who sent us over 200 homes to look at in his first email, and then didnt think it was his job to find us a home, we were extremely lucky to find Sarah Ruffner. Sarah immediately understood that we wanted her to weed out the houses in our price range that did not meet the other criteria we deemed important for our lifestyle and only sent us houses to look at online that were serious contenders for our consideration. Once we found the perfect house, Sarah expertly guided us through the negotiations. She made it a point to be present for all of the 7 inspections we asked to have conducted, from sewer scoping to soil testing and everything in between, and immediately reported back to us the results. As long distance buyers, we depended on Sarah to be our eyes and ears and to anticipate the questions we would have asked had we been on site. She absolutely delivered on our expectations, and in our opinion, she went those extra miles to ensure that we were confident in moving forward to close the deal. And, if our opinion of Sarah doesnt convince you, after our home closed, the Seller invited us and Sarah over for a celebratory dinner, but did not invite his own real estate agent! We highly recommend Sarah Ruffner to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.
