Due to my husbands employment transfer from Florida, we needed to purchase a home in the Richmond area. We were hoping to find and purchase a home quickly in order to avoid any inconvenience and costs of temporary housing and storage. We had been searching for homes on Zillow for several months, before we found a few homes that we were interested in. Once I clicked the link on the Zillow site to indicate I wanted to see a particular home, I was then prompted to select a realtor. Let me tell you... I am so glad that I selected Lorna Cornett from that list! Shortly after the selection, I received a call from Lorna Cornett. I dont normally have an obvious first impression from a phone call, but Lorna Cornett definitely made an impression on me. First of all, Lorna was prompt . Second Lorna was very professional, polite,and knowledgeable. Third, Lorna listened and understood all our needs, and helped us understand the area since we were not local. To my disappointment, Lorna informed me that the home that we were interested in was already on contract. However, she continued to get all the specifics of what we were looking for and provided me with a new list of homes to search from. I didnt think that there would be any other homes other than what I already searched, but Lorna provided us with several other home choices, from which we found our perfect home. Since my husband was in the area for his job, but was flying home the next day, Lorna made arrangements and even rearranged her schedule in order that he could view the home. She expressed to us that she knew how fast homes were selling in the area and did not want us to lose any opportunity. From that time on, things went very quickly and smoothly. My husband made an offer on the home. Shortly after his offer, another offer was made, and Lorna was prompt to notify us and provided advice. A new offer was made, and Lorna prepared documents for the sellers agent that evening. The next morning we received the good news that our offer was accepted. I am confident that if it were not for Ms. Cornetts promptness, concern, and expertise, our dream home would have slipped by us. I have heard of other home buyers who have had unpleasant experiences with obstacles and delays in the purchase and closing process, but I can say that purchasing our home here in Richmond has been a wonderful experience because of Lorna Cornett and associates she uses for a mortgage lenders, title company, inspections etc. Everything during the entire process after the offer to the closing, went smoothly without delay or complications. We have been in our home for 2 months now, and Lorna continues to follow up with us. If you want a realtor who is professional, personable, works hard for you, and is highly respected, choose Lorna Cornett. I really cant say enough, and 5 star rating isnt high enough.

Our experience with Lorna Cornett was beyond what we would expect from our real estate agent. She not only worked hard to help me and my wife find our house, but she went above and beyond to make sure it was the right fit for us. Once the decision was made and we purchased our house she continued her excellent service by ensuring we were comfortable in our new neighborhood. Lorna helped us with restaurant suggestions, hospital locations, and shopping places to furnish our new home and finally helped my wife find her new kitten. She still continues her excellent service by checking in with us approximately once a week and returns any calls we have with questions immediately.
