Two and one-half years prior to buying our new home in Spring Lake, my wife and I engaged Michael Skea to help us in our search. We are NJ natives returning to the Jersey Shore after eighteen years away in places far from the smell of salty sea air and sounds of waves pounding the shoreline; a place we both longed to return to (my wife especially). Michael patiently navigated between my wife's desire to see every possible for sale property between Bay Head and Monmouth Beach and my more narrow wish to stay as close to NYC as possible. I've long lost count of how many homes Michael viewed with us or reviewed on our behalf. In every case, Mike's knowledge of the local market, flood plain, unique easements, insurance requirements, local ordinances - all of which resulted in sound and thoughtful decisions to either make an offer or move on. I find Michael's legal background to be uniquely helpful in this respect. In the end, we purchased a spec home just as the builder (Mike Zimmerman) was completing the foundation for the home. Michael Skea was able to negotiate a sound and fair deal on our behalf. Throughout construction, Michael kept in touch and, at times, worked on our behalf with our builder (also outstanding) since we were still living many miles away. I recommend Michael to anyone looking to buy on the Jersey Shore. You will be exceptionally well represented.
