This agent was recommended by our out of state VA mortgage company saying he will give us a few hundred dollars on closing. My Officer son and I are looking for an investment in Ithaca while my daughter is at my alma mater Cornell. He took 3 days to get back to me. He was sick and closing on a house and I waited patiently. When we did speak he was on speaker phone with my husband and kept making excuses for his dog barking, his phone cutting us off and was so busy trying to sell us yet he didn't know who we were or wanted yet. We tried to speak to him but he spoke over us. We were so stressed out by the end we decided to not go with the mortgage suggested get $300 back which he let me know unprofessionally comes out of his pocket. My son and I had spoken with several agents. I have bought houses my whole life. Flipped many and lived in many and always made a profit for realtors. I have never come across one rude realtor till now. We decided to be courteous and tell him we decided to go another way and thank you. He had done no work yet. We spoke on the phone ten minutes and it took him over a week to send us a list of listings that 5 other agents had already sent us immediately showing us how quick they work. There was nothing that we didn't see ourselves online and it took him maybe 5 minutes. His response to my courteous email was Thanks for wasting my ------ time. I was shocked. When I told him I was appalled at his unprofessional rude behavior he sent me an insulting email saying things like I must be a terrible person if my son is buying me a house. He knows nothing about us and I have a home already but we are buying another as an investment because we can and it is fun. I have bad arthritis and eye sight as I have been successfully battling cancer and I made some typos. he called me dyslexic in a derogatory way and told me he was telling the police I was harassing him and was blocking me. WOW. This man is more than unprofessional. I happen to be a Marriage and Family Therapist and this mans impulsive anger is frightening, beyond unprofessional. If someone is interviewing you for a job and they don't feel that you are listening and responding quickly and sanely and they don't use your services you DO NOT behave as he did. Our lovely small town had a terrible tragedy and death today and I was called as a trained grief counselor. AS I was trying to support the family and community as well as find the right agent for us I had to deal with his rude, insulting, impulsive and threatening emails. I do not recommend this realtor. I tried to be courteous and let him know we didn't not need his services to same him time as I felt his manner on the phone and slowness to response and many many excuses as to why just not the person we needed. I don't usually choose to engage in the negative but the juxtaposition today of real life problems and how he choose to attack cowardly a person he never met and knows nothing about was beyond appalling. I had to warn others, I hope he finds the peace that he needs to serve people and act professionally in the future. Perhaps he had a bad day but I never in my many years ever got responses so awful from a so called professional I had never even met and had one short phone talk with. Blew my mind the anger he projected on to me.
