I dont't usually write reviews but after my experience with The Gilbert Group, I feel like it'd be selfish not to share. Just the thought of buying a house terrified me. I needed a realtor to hold my hand throughout the process, to be honest with me, to be competent, to put finding a house I'd enjoy over making a sale. I decided to visit The Gilbert Group after a warm recommendation from a coworker. From the beginning the process was explained to me clearly, patiently, and informatively. I was given access to their system which had houses according to the criteria they set after our first meeting. The houses were full of information, pictures, map, amentities, etc. Once I saw a house I liked I would click "Request a Showing" and my Realtor, Lee, would set up a time we could visit the house. While we were checking the house, he would describe the neighberhood, the style, the negatives, the positives and his personal opinion. He quickly got to know what I was looking for and we found a BEAUTIFUL house that exceeded all my expectations. The problem was that there were a loooot of other offers (11 just on the first day of showing and it was up for 4 days). Lee guided me on when it might be prudent to increase my offer and when it would be time to walk away. He worked with the seller's agent even though my offer wasn't the highest and I woke up one morning with the text "You got the house! Congratulations!!". After that I continued to work with Lee but then team there went into action and worked with me to schedule inspections, appraisals, etc. This is my 2nd day in my new amazing house and I wouldn't think twice about using them again.
