My wife and I were first time home buyers and were obviously very nervous about what the process was going to be like. Being in sales myself, I tend to be very critical and carry extremely high expectations for the sales people when I get the chance to be a buyer. Not only was Jay helpful, he exceeded any and all expectations I had and was very quick to make my wife and I comfortable. His knowledge of the area, homes, schools and ability to listen to our wants and needs was very surprising. A lot of sales people seem to listen briefly then push you in a direction they want you to travel. He even went as far as helping us set up a Power of Attorney so we would not lose any time. Jay took what we wanted and layed out several options that met our criteria. Through the entire process he did everything in his power to make the transaction go as smoothly as possible. My wifes work required her to be out of town through a majority of the process. Jay gave us several names and sources for financing and all of the inspections. He definitely gave us a wealth of knowledge that enabled us to make all the right choices. If I were to purchase another piece of property, I would not dream of calling another agent. One of the best buying experiences I've had.

I cannot say enough about Jays knowledge, skill, and diligence in helping us find the perfect vacation home/rental. While my wife and I did not know Jay before we started looking to purchase our property, he has proved to be everything we could have hoped for.Having bought a vacation home/rental in Ocean City a couple years ago, my wife and I appreciate the value in having a truly suburb real estate agent, as opposed to someone whos simply adequate. Jay was always able to provide little insights that make all the difference in finding the perfect property. For example, understanding how far a home can be located from WISP without limiting its Winter vacation rentals, knowing which locations in all of Deep Creek Lakes inlets/coves receive the most sun throughout the day, and having a great instinct for the type of lakefront renovations likely to be approved by the DNR (and the best tactics to use), are just a few of the invaluable pieces of advice Jay provided. Jay also has a great instinct for assessing the intrinsic long-term value of each property we looked at, as well as what each homes likely selling price would be (i.e. taking into account the time of year, current market trends etc.). Equally important for my wife and I, we never felt Jay pressured us to purchase a specific property (just so he could get his commission). Our search last almost a year during which we looked at a number of properties. While Jay always discussed each homes pros and cons in detail, he was very measured in sharing his view as to whether we should purchase a specific property. This gave us comfort that Jay really wanted us to find the best deal possible. That paid off later on, because when we finally saw a property that Jay got excited about the house and selling price, but worried that it wouldnt stay on the market very long, we had the confidence to act quickly. Lastly, as we went through the closing process, Jay not only provided us with great recommendations for the various contractors and venders, but was also able to lobby on our behalf with the lender. As a result, the closing was completed on-time and without any problems. This is why we would unequivocally recommend Jay to anyone, and indeed already have.
