Based on our experience with another realtor, we had come to the conclusion that it wasn't worth the effort involved in trying to sell our home of 33 years and finding another smaller suitable home in a very specific area. Our neighbor said, "But you haven't met Lindsay!" Lindsay was a miracle worker. She saw our house at 9:30 on a Friday morning and wanted to show it that afternoon! (And she did!) The prospective buyer loved it but financing was uncertain. She told us exactly what to do to get it ready to put on the market. The first day it was shown there were two offers, one for the asking price and one lower. The second day it was shown there was an offer for more than the asking price. Lindsay asked for "final best offer" and four days after it was put on the market we had an offer that led to the sale of our home for more than our asking price.Lindsay also miraculously found us the PERFECT HOME IN THE PERFECT LOCATION. Initially we were unable to make an offer on that home since it would have been contingent on the sale of our house. Lindsay, miraculously (notice a trend here?) was able to arrange for us to get approved for a mortgage, in spite of the fact that our home was in an irrevocable trust. If our house sold before we closed on our new home, we wouldn't even need the mortgage but without it, our offer never would have been considered. Miraculously, saving us at least $5,000 in fees associated with a mortgage, our buyers closed before we did (Thank you Lindsay!)Finally, in the interest of full disclosure, I feel it's necessary to reveal that Lindsay is not really a realtor, but a social worker. She gets her high from resolving problems and making people happy. Lindsay is one of the most authentic, caring people I've ever met (hard to fool a retired therapist.) I'm beginning to suspect that she's actually an angel in disguise. Throughout the entire process, with all it's roadblocks and problems, I found myself trusting this amazing, talented and caring person. Frequently when things looked overwhelming I'd say, "First there's God, then there's Lindsay." She was always there. She always came through. Sorry to go on about her, but she's one in a million. Thank You Lindsay!!!
