I wanted to like David, I hired him due to the caliber of properties he had listed on the website. However David had some real short comings. First, his car was grossly lacking inside, when being asked to car pool, I was seriously questioning his standards. Generally speaking he was a very poor driver, ignoring speed bumps, speed signs and not paying attention when being a leader. Its a good thing that I had not taken Davids advice when making an offer, it would have cost us $35k more. I guess I can be glad that he took our awesome strategy, even though we are not locals, which they accepted. Where this experience took a big fat low, is when the home was not cleaned from renters, even though it was a part of the deal and that we had asked several times about it. David said he went to the property and he approved. I drove across 5 states, trailering livestock and with a child, only to arrive to a renters move out mess. My family had used the holiday to do this move, with plans to arrive two days before Thanksgiving. Instead of using the short amount of time I had with my kid to decompress and celebrate Thanksgiving, it was spent cleaning out dirty toilets and the like. I was IRATE! This is a very small town where in order to get cleaners you have to know the people and the community, needless to say, I could not get help two days before the holiday. Nor have I been reimbursed for all my cleaning work, which should have been paid for by the sellers. David showed up unannounced to apologize for not looking at the details. It didn't take much to figure out the house had not been clean. This totally speaks to David's standards, I guess I could have figured it out based on his vehicle. Also David told us that he had a professional list of contractors to help us jumpstart the work that needs to be done on this property. What I received after several asks was a text for a $15 an hour, under the table worker who lives 3 hours away from the town of Taos. Wow!
