We recently concluded a condo purchase with Kara Breithaupt and her Snap Realty team and are thrilled beyond words with how well everything turned out thanks to Kara. She was a consummate professional yet incredibly friendly, easy to talk to and down to earth. Constantly available and ready to help she went above and beyond when it came to every detail of our our home buying journey. We recommend Kara as highly as possible. Her calm demeanor, friendly attitude and constant focus on our needs, at our pace was vital to a successful home purchase. This being our first home we were new to everything and Kara never spoke down to us, explaining everything so we could understand each step of the process. Warm, caring, organized, reliable, these are just some of Kara's traits. For someone who we randomly/luckily found at the beginning of our search, we can't praise her enough.

I cannot recommend Kara enough. I was lucky enough to be able to buy my first home during COVID-19. The short of it is that I got a fantastic house in a great neighborhood and Kara helped me negotiate for a much bigger price reduction (and more repairs) then someone would normally get ($21,000 off, plus around $2,500 in additional repairs).When I decided to buy a house, I looked for an experienced, full-time, realtor (as recommended by the first time home buyer books) and Kara popped up as the top person pretty much immediately. Her reviews felt too good to be true but it's not a lie, she is seriously THE BEST at her job. Here are just a few reasons why Kara is amazing:1) Very fast communication. Responds to random questions sent via text or email pretty quickly. Very helpful at answering basic questions, even about things that technically aren't her purview (e.g., questions about mortgages).2) Very deep knowledge. She knows pretty much everything and is very happy to share what she knows to make the extire experience easy for first-time home buyers. She also knows a lot about different neighborhoods in New Orleans.3) Extremely organized and prepared. She has handouts/emails prepared to help you at every step. She is very organized with providing you with paperwork that you can e-sign. She provided me with a whole folder with all my paperwork after the sale. You really don't have to worry about much. 4) Very transparent and honest. As an economist I worry that realtors have incentives to show you houses that give them a better commission, or don't help you negotiate as much in order to get a faster sale. I was never worried about that with Kara. When ever she suggested certain strategies, she made clear why and was very open to questions. I never felt like there were any motives for her other than sincerely caring about getting the best outcomes for home buyers.5) Very thorough. Technically realtors are just supposed to help you get the house, but Kara helped with getting me a good termite contract, gave me information on how to set up utilities, get homeowners insurance, get my homestead exemption, etc. She goes above and beyond.6) The best realtor for first time home buyers. This was my first time buying a house and it a was A LOT to learn and consider. It was pretty overwhelming at first but Kara made it easy by explaining the process and providing updates, and providing detailed information at each step. It was very manageable.7) Genuinely enjoyable to work with. Kara is very friendly and helpful and while a lot of the tasks you have to complete to buy a house can feel like a chore, I sincerely enjoyed working with Kara. I am sure I am missing some good things to say but i'll leave it at that. These was honestly nothing about working with her that I didn't like or that didn't go well. This is coming from an academic so we are normally extremely critical.
