I recently found a townhouse community that I was going to buy into. My employer requires me to be away for extended periods of time, and I was not certain if I would be able to make closing once the townhouse was finished being built. A "friend" recommended Sean to me and he told me he would assist in case any of these circumstances would come about. I only met him twice, and barely heard from him during the process of construction. I had a serious inquiry for him at one point, in which it took him 3 days to reply. Just prior to closing my father fell into poor health which required hospitalization (and up to this point 3 surgeries). I asked Sean if he could cover the walk through for me, in which the builder gave three different available times. It took over 1 day for Sean to tell me he could not do this. According to the builder, he had an "optometry" appointment for one of the proposed times. I had to delay on seeing my father as he feel into even poorer health in order to close on the property. Sean never once bothered to contact me, and I closed on the townhouse without his presence. Sean made $9700 commission off of this deal. It pains me to think I hired him in order to assist me in case my job required me to be elsewhere, and instead, as my father fell into poor health, Sean did not provide any kind of assistance. Sean seemed to be a good guy. However, I can not recommend him based on his lack of assistance with my home buying process, and I sincerely hope Sean donates his commission to a worthy charity.
