As first time homebuyers, Dean was the perfect agent. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable at every step of the buying process, and he took great care to educate us on all the little nuances of real estate that we could never have learned on our own. We always felt that Dean had our best interests at heart, and this was reinforced constantly throughout the entire process.As an example, we had a property that we were ready to make an offer on. We looked at the house on a Friday afternoon and emailed Dean in the early evening telling him that we wanted to make an offer. By early Saturday morning, he had a full report and negotiating strategy, and he had found out from the seller's agent about some serious water damage that the seller was apparently unwilling to fix. We were willing to deal with this for the right price, but there was another buyer coming in with a higher offer. Even though it would've gotten him a higher commission (and weeks sooner), Dean advised us against increasing our offer because the likely cost to repair the cause of the water damage plus the purchase price would've meant that we were paying more than the home was worth (and thus we would be unlikely to recoup the total cost).We took his advice, and we are very glad we did! Even though it took a few more weeks, we ended up finding a home we loved even more. Dean is the consummate real estate professional, and he would be the first person I would recommend for anyone looking to buy a home.
