My husband and I were having problems in Florida after making an offer on a property. The agent was really great during the process until a contract was signed. She then did not respond to our texts, voicemails, and phone calls. She cut off communications with us and never sent us the completed, signed, contract. We did not know what to do and it was so far away. We explained this to our neighbor James Smith with RE/Max Showcase and he made phone calls to the agents broker in Florida for us. After not getting the correct response, Jim contacted the listing agent for the property we had purchased and they were not aware of what was going on. They thought everything was okay. We were able to cancel the first contract, because we were very concerned. Jim referred us to the listing agent who is with RE/Max in Florida. She was a big help and very responsive and trustworthy. We are now building our dream home for retirement in Florida. Without the help of Jim Smith we would not have known what to do. Jim is very knowledgeable and resourceful. Because he was involved and has connections in Florida we received the right answers to resolve our realty issues. When we move from this area Jim Smith will be our listing agent on our property.
