We were in the market for a home on a 1+ acre lot to allow more gardening and privacy than we had at our previous home. For a couple of years we had been watching the market and had contacted a couple of other realtors for help, but those realtors clearly had little time for us and were not proactive. We eventually decided to consider building, and in the search for a suitable lot we met Nancy. Nancy clearly had much more interest in facilitating our search for a new home and she provided great advice as she helped us continue to look for an existing home while simultaneously moving towards purchase of a lot in the event that we couldn't find a suitable existing home. Eventually we decided on new construction, and Nancy provided valuable information during the process of finding and employing an architect and selecting a builder, negotiating a contract, etc. She is very kind and respectful, knowledgeable, responsible, and professional. Unlike so many busy people, she is very good at returning calls, emails and communication in general. She makes every effort to quickly address client questions and concerns. Nancy also handled the sale of our previous home, which went very smoothly and we got 99.7% of our asking price, and we were very satisfied with how she handled all aspects of that sale. I have a nagging suspicion that our ask price was just a bit low, but as we were needing to coordinate the sale of our home with move-in to our new house, we followed her pricing recommendation which was based upon a thorough market analysis, and indeed our property sold in 5 days. In summary, if you want a customer-oriented, professional and friendly realtor who will give you attention and who has a deep understanding of the Ames area including builders, contractors, market conditions, and every other facet related to buying a home, than you should consider giving Nancy a call. She may not be Ames' best-known realtor, but she may be Ames' best realtor.
