The introduction to Katrina was blind and started with a call into the local ReMax office in Cedar Hill TX. I asked to speak with an agent, Katrina picked up and after a short discussion about my situation she agreed to meet at the home and brought a portfolio of local comps with asking and sell price. Turns out I my expectations were 20k lower than market.I was impressed and surprised that she wanted to up the asking price based on local market conditions.A few days after listing with her and ReMax she hosted an open house with color brochures high lighting PROs vs cons of purchasing vs renting which is popular in the neighborhood(countermeasure I assume - It worked).Several offers came and went but the one that stuck - she knew was the ticket. A cash offer but Katrina went and researched the home of the person that was trying to sell before purchasing to validate the validity of the offer, you cant ask for more than that.Its done now, we closed with a cash offer for asking price. I appreciate the time and effort of Katrina McCormick and Remax- they did a great job.

My wife and I were dead set on purchasing our next home without a realtor. We had Zillow and a ton of other sites. "How hard could it be?" We found the house we wanted and started negotiating with the other realtor. We didn't know what we didn't know. We called Katrina on a Sunday just to ask one question and see if we could just get past this first hurdle. She explained the process to us and had a lender calling us that evening. Remember, this is a Sunday. We were pre approved and moving forward on a 1950's style Craftsman with a 203K loan for improvements. Katrina scheduled General Contractors, home inspectors, roofers, plumbers, foundation repair companies, and gutter repair companies. We were doing the same; but as a tandem, all our bases were covered. At one point there was an extremely hard rain and we had standing water under the pier and beam home. I am too big to fit into the crawlspace to lay out plastic for the Structural Engineer to do his survey. Katrina put on a head lamp and rolled about 20 yards of plastic in a very tight, dark, wet, and slightly scary space. Mrs. McCormick was in constant contact and we closed on the house in an extremely quick timeframe. I was wrong in thinking I could do this on my own. We could never have purchased our amazing home without her help.
