Worry-free experience, responsiveness, good market knowledge, an agent well networked with other Conejo Valley real estate agents , pleasant personality -- these are all the words that come to mind about Michael Rice when we think of our recent home buying experience. Actually, we had first picked Michael because we liked his website and we were looking for a rental home to move into while we waited to sell our house in Virginia. At the time, rentals were going fast and when my wife saw a new listing, I called Michael from Virginia. Within 15 minutes Michael had driven to the property and called us from the house describing what he saw. We trusted his judgment and signed up for the house without seeing it. It worked out very well for us. A year later, we started looking to buy a house and Michael was always prompt to line up a showing for any house that we liked in the listing. He seemed to know all the other agents in the area and we always had good intelligence going into every negotiation. Michael understood our family and our preferences within a few days and gave us good advice through at least 3 negotiations that we went through before we finally clinched a very good deal for a house in our price range. Michael always was so prompt and responsive even after the 12th or 13th house we saw that we would wonder what was wrong if we waited as much as 10 minutes after sending him a text message or email. We were also helped by his extensive network of mortgage brokers, home inspectors, roof inspectors, and other support businesses. Throughout our one year association with him our respect for his professionalism, market skill, and patience just grew and grew. Towards the end of the deal on the house we bought, our family (kids and all) had grown into thinking of him as a good friend. We would recommend him highly to anyone moving into or out of the Conejo Valley area.
