Where do I begin? Relocating from another state, we started out using another local realtor but when we told her we planned to use our VA loan, she repeatedly told me that no one will accept a VA loan in this market...repeatedly told me that that we needed to offer full price or we would not be considered, and repeatedly told me that we needed to put a LARGE amount (20K) of earnest money down to be taken seriously. After letting her know we were DONE working with her, I was hesitant and a bit hostile when my daughter found and suggested we try Jared but I could tell by talking with him, HE LISTENED to me, understood our intentions, and he was fully aware and willing to work with us. I spent a few short days looking at a handful of homes and found TWO homes we loved. The one we LOVED the most, he not only negotiated the deal for us but made us feel like he was working for US...not trying to force us to go with a different loan type or coax us to put a huge amount of earnest money down. He let US make the decisions and offered his opinion when asked but NEVER made us feel like he was pushing or encouraging us to do something we were not comfortable with. I think it's important to note (since the first realtor basically said we didn't have a chance at negotiating a deal with our terms) that not only did we go with a VA Loan but we also only put $5k down for earnest money and we got the house for less than asking price. Jared was SO PROFESSIONAL and treated us so respectfully. I also have to say, we were looking at million dollar homes (which isn't saying much in this market) so it was well worth working with us, and that I had my real estate license in Oregon so I have SUPER high standards where realtors are concerned and I don't like people telling me stuff that I know is a line of hooey. Jared was knowledgeable in his field, very professional, and last but not least...he didn't walk away when he got his payday...he still keeps in touch to check on us and make sure everything is going well. This is going to be our last home (retired) but if we ever needed to sell or buy in this area again...it would be with Jared. I will exclusively refer any friends or family to him, because of how we were treated, I know they will be happy customers. Thank you Jared for not only getting us our beautiful home but for being SO easy to work with. We appreciate it more than you know!
