I have been renting for the last 10 years and never thought that I would be able to get preapproved for a mortgage. I stepped out on faith and my husband and I received our first preapproval in August of 2018. This was probably the easiest part of the whole process. The hardest part, finding a realtor that understood what we wanted. We had spoken with several who never respected the fact we were looking in one specific city. That's where Latonya came in. Just as we were about to give up, she called me and stated she had 3 properties to show us. The first one was a house we had been wanting to see but all the other realtors stated it wasn't available. The fact that she was able to get us into view that property sealed the deal. We put an offer in and somehow she worked her magic because we were able to close on the property in November 2018. We are so grateful for her, her patience and her knowledge. She is very hands on and will get you through any process. Thank you again Latonya for a lil of your help!

I met Kerwin while I was selling my home in Newark NJ. Kerwin was the realtor for the buyer, but turned into the realtor for the seller and the buyer. Kerwin's level of professionalism was acceptional, not to mention how helpful and responsive he was when I had to go to the city of Newark to obtain the Certificate of Occupancy in order to sell my home. As I was deciding to relocate to North Carolina or stay in NJ, I needed to find a place to live in NJ, once a job became available for me. Kerwin and my relationship had grown so close in such a short amount of time, I needed to find a place to move in 1 week of what would have been my closing date. Kerwin sent me a listing of places based on my needs, and in a weeks time he found my idea place to live. Not to mention he had a doc sign application on his phone to make the transaction very seemless and quick for me to obtain the place I wanted to move to. From the very beginning I was able to tell that she was a genuine person that wanted to help her clients. My first conversation with her was during the loan shopping phase when one of the lenders that I applied introduced her to me and during that conversation, things went south when I asked questions about shopping for mortgage lenders. After hanging up furious and steaming, she called back trying to diffuse the situation and immediately asked me questions on how to help since this was my first time buying. She sent me multiple listings trying to pin down our preferences and as the process went on, let us pin down the kind of property we wanted.With the house finding and negotiations phase, Christine has excellent knowledge of the market and had broad experience to utilize in every step of the way. Multiple offers nearly went to attorney review (had been beat just because of how hot the market is by Hudson County and how low my downpayment is). She warned me of potentially costly mistakes like taking into account that a house was heating using oil, and a house that I did not expect to have flood insurance requiring about $4900 in premium a year (she insisted I get a quote first before putting in an offer). When we did go into attorney review, she insisted that we use the power of negotiations to finally convince a seller we had a good offer.That we did, and even simple wording to make the offer better for both the Seller and us, we ended up in a win-win situation. Despite delays from the attorneys and appraisal issues, we managed to close! Even to the end, she was on top of me and my attorney when we didn't have a Use and Occupancy agreement ready by closing time (which turned out that my attorney needed the final figures before doing so). Despite COVID and all, with all the hiccups and what-not, I'm forever grateful and will remember this experience. Let her help you decide on your new home! Whether it be your first house like we managed to close or your next.
