I was referred to Don through the ReMax relocation network in Denver, Colorado where I live. I called him and explained that I was getting ready to move my mom to a retirement community from her home of 40 years in Bonney Lake. I explained that the house had had minimal maintenance in the twenty years since my dad had died. I asked Don if he would be willing to meet with me when I arrived in Bonney Lake to give me an idea of what would be required in order to sell the house. I contacted Don after I arrived in Bonney Lake and he agreed to come over to the house on his way from another appointment. After a tour of the house and property to examine its condition, we sat down to discuss the family's concerns and hopes for selling the house as quickly as possible. Don listened carefully and compassionately and clearly understood the situation, including a previously arranged first right of refusal to sell the house to my cousin. He recommended that we save unnecessary expenses by cancelling the landscape and cleaning work we'd planned to have done since the it would have a negligible impact on the sales price. The meeting ended with a promise from Don to do some research and provide an estimate of the house's likely sales price within a week. Three days later Don called and recommended a list price that was higher than I'd expected. We immediately decided to list the house. Within an hour of signing the listing, potential buyers arrived to look over the house. After waiting for my cousin to decline buying the house, these buyers immediately made a near-asking-price all-cash offer for the house. From that point forward the sale progressed quickly and easily to a closing. Don helped Mom get the most value for her home and walk away unencumbered with cash to cover her expenses in the retirement community. Every step of the way, the family felt confident that Don was fairly representing my mom's best interests. I enthusiastically recommend Don to anyone needing to buy or sell a home.
