In short - Debbie was amazing as first time buyers (2014) and then sellers (2016). We hate that we relocated outside of the state (for my spouse's job) because Debbie wouldn't be able to continue helping us. Our toddler that was born at the house we bought with her loved her when we had to sell.Some more details here - Debbie was recommended to us by a former supervisor. When we first met, we were typical first time buyers that were lost in the process, super worried about having a bad agent, and just all around freaking out because everything was going to go wrong. We prepared a long list of questions for Debbie and met with her prior to committing. We left confident we didn't even need to interview any other agents. My spouse was very picky about what the lot looked like. After the initial list was prepared, it got knocked down to just 5 potential houses. Debbie took us to see all 5 in one night. We really liked the last house and put an offer on it, which was ultimately accepted. There were no surprises or anything once we bought the house.Part of the closing agreement was that the previous owners were going to pay for 6 months of pest control. Ultimately, we had to get back in touch and work with Debbie to make sure we weren't getting charged - the company quickly stopped harassing us.My spouse found out about a job back in our home state a couple of months ago. We immediately called Debbie just after my they even interviewed for the job - I wasn't about to move if we were going to be taking a big hit on a house we had only lived in for about 26 months. Without even the promise of a listing, Debbie came over to our house, presented us with recent comps to get an idea for what we could list for and what our breakeven point would be. Thankfully, the market turned to fire for sellers just as we found out we would be moving back 'home'. The house was listed about 11:30 am on a Tuesday. We had about 7 requests to show the house that same day with two offers before end of day and another three that arrived in the morning. Debbie presented us with a very easy to follow chart that kept to the facts about each of the five offers. Ultimately we picked the one we thought made the most sense. She set it up so we could sign the paperwork in the morning of our moving day so we wouldn't have to drive back, deal with overnighting documents, etc. In the end, the buyer's mortgage company (Chase Mortgage) couldn't get their ducks in a row so we ended up closing a week late. Despite being at their mercy, Debbie was still pushing as hard as she could to accelerate the process. In the end, we walked about with over $20,000 profit on a house we lived in for just over 2 years!!! Keep in mind, our house was just a typical listing - not a foreclosure or anything like that.We love Debbie! I'm certain she would still answer questions for us should we have them while working with a new agent looking to settle in. She really became a friend :) And she makes AMAZING chocolate chip cookies!!!!

My husband and I are first-time home buyers, and we started out looking at houses to buy (start of 2021), with the option to build.
