Mary was referred to me by my lending agency, and my experience from start to finish was nothing short of excellent. About me: I was not a aEURoebig spender,aEUR? I was on a budget. Mary was not going to get rich working with me aEUR" and she knew this. In the beginning, I had no intentions of buying a home. I was starting over; I was 50-ish, recently divorced and I was experiencing sticker-shock at the price of rentals! So I bit the proverbial bullet and decided to buy a home. I was fortunate to have Mary working with me. She listened to me; she understood what I wanted and what my budget was. There were no high-pressure sales to spend more than I could afford. I told Mary from the beginning that I would work just as hard as she did to find a home and I did. I sent her listings I liked; she sent me listings on almost a daily basis. I do not believe in wasting time. I would drive the neighborhood before scheduling a viewing, if the neighborhood looked the least bit questionable, I would call or text Mary and say, aEURoeNo thanks, not that one.aEUR? Then one day, I found the perfect little house. I drove by at 7:30 AM. I called Mary about 8:00 AM, and I said, aEURoeYou have to come and see this place, it is perfect!aEUR? She was there within a half-hour. We did a walk through. I loved what I was seeing. It was small, everything on one floor, ant it had a huge fireplace. As we walked through, Mary way saying, aEURoeDont look so excited,aEUR? as the home had other viewers while we were there. We made an offer that very day; 15 hours after the home had been on the market. We were the second offer to come in and not initially accepted. I was crushed; I cried and went back to the drawing board. Then Mary called a couple weeks later. The first offer fell through! "Do you still want the house?" she asked. Yes, yes, YES! We closed on December 5, 2016. Mary was referred to me in October, 2016 and I was in my home, December 5, 2016. Mary returned my calls or texts almost immediately. She worked around my crazy schedule. She knew what I wanted and she listened to me. Mary is honest, she told me the truth, she explained the process and I knew what to expect.
