We first found Mike through reviews on Zillow. Although I am typically weary of an abundance of excellent reviews, those I read were detailed and I decided to contact him regarding a home search. It really wouldn't matter in the long run as we were "just looking".Mike was out of town the week we wanted to look at homes. He put us in contact with an associate Karen Johansen to help us look at houses and properties. This review reflects our experience with both agents.We dealt with Karen primarily via email. We wanted to have a good list of properties that we were interested in before we made the trip from out of state. Karen was responsive, kind, helpful (steered us away from properties she did not think would work for us) and organized. We only had one day to research and tour properties and we needed to have all of our ducks in a row in order to do that. Karen did a great job of lining up showings and getting us to the right places at the right time. Never once did she oversell a property and she listened closely to our questions and concerns. Although Mike took over once we found a property we wanted to make an offer on, Karen stayed close to our sides answering numerous questions about the property, location, amenities of the town, etc. She is exceptional.Once Mike was back in town, he took over with the offer details and the contingencies on same (with Karen's assistance). We had several questions and concerns during the closing process and Mike handled each in detail and with care. He even visited the property with the home inspector and surveyor to make sure every i was dotted and t crossed. Since we were buying from a distance, Mike became our eyes and ears for every detail of every process.His local knowledge and experience with larger parcels of land helped us immeasurably. We would recommend both Mike and Karen highly for any real estate needs you have in the McCall and New Meadows areas. Although our purchase is complete, they have both offered numerous time to help us with any questions or concerns in the future. We will undoubtable take them up on that offer.
