Ever since the real estate bubble burst in 2008 we felt that we were in an upside down loan for our mortgage... In other words we were underwater. We tried to sell our house twice during that period and had open houses for a whole weekend with cookies and the whole deal with other Realtors. Both times when we got home there were no realtor business cards on the kitchen counter. Nobody came to look at the house. We were ready to walk away from the house, or sell it at a huge loss just to get out from under the mortgage.Amy Cherry Taylor and her team sold the house for far more than the asking price. Need I say more? Yes, there's more to say... do they know what they're doing? They most definitely do! Joy, the lady in charge of staging the house knows exactly how to make it look right. Amy is so confident in her ability to sell the place she actually argued with my wife Kathy, who is a pretty stubborn woman, about the picture on the ad showing an aerial view of the house with the woods' private setting and the lakefront. Kathy thought it should show the front of the house like every other real estate ad does. It is a beautiful facade. Amy insisted that the picture she chose cameoed the privacy of the property and the beauty of the waterfront. Kathy agreed and Amy had her way. Kathy argued with Amy about what the asking price would be and thought it was about $25,000 less than she wanted to get for the house. But Amy argued that this is a better price to list it at because it allows the bank to be able to finance it more easily, bringing in more offers, spawning a competition. Because of Amy's suggestion we got much more than we had hoped for, I repeat, we received far more than our asking price! Kathy was elated. My suggestion is to let Amy and Joy and the rest of the team (shout out to Barbara) do their stuff, because they know what they're doing...let them do it.There's no wonder why Amy is listed on the cover of Virginia Realtor's magazine as the best realtor in the Commonwealth of Virginia!

Oh my goodness, I don't even know where to begin. Amy and her team are actual real estate angels from heaven. The process of selling our home was a rare nightmare, featuring FOUR offers, three of which fell through for various reasons (buyer's home didn't sell, issues with landlord, etc). Even after all that, Amy managed to get us a full-price offer. That's astounding after having out home on the market for three months of unpredictable debacles. We moved out of state at the very beginning of our selling process, so Amy and her team went way above and beyond, helping to manage our home in our absence. Because we were gone, everything was extra complicated, from inspections (yes, plural, because did I mention the offers that fell through?) to repairs and all the nitty gritty details of a real estate transaction. It was a disaster....I THINK. But I actually didn't have to experience it because Amy handled EVERYTHING for us, and she did it with cheerfulness and positive energy. She kept us in the loop on the things we needed to know, but otherwise she just maneuvered the entire process very skillfully while we managed the stresses of our own move and new life. We felt so well cared for. I think that was the best part. I never had to worry about the details, because I knew Amy had them under control and I knew she was working hard for our best interest. I recommend her 100%, with enthusiasm.
