Taylor was amazing to work with and helped my partner and I find our dream home in the ashburn/sterling area! As first time home-buyers we had no idea what we were doing, where to begin or what to expect. Taylor was very professional and knowledgeable. Cheryll is a superb agent. We are so grateful to her. She taught the ins and outs of the North Shore real estate market, visited dozens of properties with us, and left us knowing a lot more about the kind of house we want and don't want. She also is a great negotiator. She was able to accurately predict the sellers' reactions to our offers, which enabled us to negotiate wisely and effectively. Our sellers were a bit difficult (isn't that always the case?) -- at the last minute, after the price negotiation was complete and everyone was ready to sign the contract, they sprang clauses on us such as stipulating that defective house items (i.e. windows) were to be "as-is" and refusing to provide any allowances after the inspection revealed a number of shortcoming in the electrical system, flooring, insulation, HVAC, and other items. Cheryll negotiated well for us and gave us realistic advice. Based on her advice, we held out and were able to receive seller credits in the thousands of dollars for these defects. She is very selective in whom she works with, and the lawyers, home inspectors, mortgage agents, and contractors she recommended were superb. Finally, Cheryll is very responsive on email or phone, and very insightful in terms of understanding our specific housing needs as a family. In sum, Cheryll is a great realtor and we are grateful to have found her.
