I have had the pleasure of working with Matt Claxton three times in the last four years; twice representing me as a buyer and once as a listing agent. I can't say enough good things about Matt. I wanted an agent with a strong knowledge of Dilworth/Myers Park and the surrounding areas, as well as someone who was well-versed in the condo market. Matt doesn't disappoint in either regard. As a buyer, I knew what was important to me and Matt quickly picked up on the things that were must-haves, nice-to-haves, and also the things which would be deal-breakers. n nHaving worked with Matt on both sides of the home equation, I can attest to the fact that he is fair to both buyer and seller. When formulating an offer or counter-offer, we were aligned in the belief that providing the other party with a few options is more about creating a win-win situation for everyone than about purely negotiating tactics. I could count on his professional judgment of what a reasonable expectation might be, and work from there. It was apparent to me that he has worked hard over the years to build a solid reputation among his fellow agents and that he would never jeopardize that. n nAside from this, I always appreciated Matt's easy-going and relaxed personality. Buying or selling can be a stressful time (in addition to being exciting!), so having an agent such as Matt was a great counter-balance. n nThis review wouldn't be complete without mentioning Jordan Rush, who works with Matt as a buyer's agent. Jordan was always prompt, pleasant, and she also grasped early on the things that were important to me. I especially appreciated Jordan's knowledge of construction-type issues, since that is not my strong suit. n nI am fully expecting to be in my latest purchase for the long-term, but if the time comes that I do need to move again, Matt and Jordan will be getting a call for me. I would recommend them with greatest confidence to family, friends, or co-workers. n nThanks, Matt & Jordan!

I have worked with Matt Claxton twice now, once as a buyer and once as a seller. I chose to work with Matt because I was impressed with his knowledge of the market and the marketing strategies he presented during our initial meeting, and we seemed to have similar personalities and work ethics. Both of my transactions with Matt as my realtor were great experiences and I would highly recommend anyone in Charlotte looking to buy or sell a home call Matt first! For the sale of my condo, I had already moved across the country, but Matt was able to coordinate with the tenant in place, myself, and potential buyers to prepare the unit to be listed, arrange showings, and eventually negotiate a move-out date between the tenant and buyer. Matt was extremely accessible and very helpful throughout the process, always available to answer questions or provide feedback and insight. For the purchase of my current home, Matt and Jordan (his buyers agent specialist) made themselves IMMEDIATELY available to schedule a showing of a newly listed home and promptly wrote an offer to submit directly after the showing. Matt provided great advice during my multiple offer situation that resulted in my offer being selected by the seller, and kept in contact with both myself and the sellers agent throughout the process to make sure everything stayed on track. Buying a house is a stressful process, especially with how hot the market currently is, but Matt remained patient with me and was very helpful throughout the process.

Matt had been our land lord for just under 4 years. Our experience with him has only been positive. We had a few maintence issues with our property and he always responded in a very timely manor. The companies he hired to fix any of these issues have always been very professional courteous and trustworthy in our home. He had such a great rental experience with Matt as a landlord that we decided to hire him as our real estate agent too. This once again proved to be a great decision, especially being first time home buyers in a very aggressive market. He and his assistant Jordan Rush were extremely patient with us. They probably showed us upwards of 20 homes before we found aEURoethe oneaEUR? They communicated with us very well during the entire process. We never felt misinformed or out of the loop.
