We liked Erica and knew she was NOT a seasoned real estate veteran, but we stuck with her because she was congenial, hard-working and overall, did a decent job UNTIL we relied on her to recommend inspectors, contractors, etc. Once it became clear that those vendors did not/could not perform, however Erica already had her commission and did not care about how we were impacted.The inspector Erica recommended to us not only showed up late, but then rushed through the appointment which we learned likely caused them to miss some very serious defects with the home. We expressed our disappointment that day as did Erica, and she said she would address it. I'm not sure she ever did so. The worst issue is that the contractor she presented as a trusted friend of hers cost us dearly - a major part of the work he completed literally had to be redone. Ironically, the (3) different GCs that reviewed Erica's friend's work all stated that it was the worst quality they had ever seen in 20+ years. In addition, we learned her friend did not even have the licenses he claimed to have. It has been a nightmare and Erica has been absent through it all in spite of the fact that we made her fully aware of the damage her referrals caused us. Losing the steady business of her friend that flips houses is likely less palatable than screwing over a relocation client, which is unfortunate. She is nice young lady and we hope she learns that integrity always wins in the end. If you know the area well, have your own inspectors, contractors, etc, Erica will probably be fine. If you are relocating from out-of-state and like most people, plan to rely on your realtor's referrals to inspectors and other related vendors, save yourself the nightmare and find a more mature, established realtor that values every single customer, before and after the financial transaction.Update: We were honest in our review and spoke of the good and bad aspects of our experience with the agent. We always remain congenial so purchasing a gift card for our realtor is more of a reflection of who we are than the service we receive. The bottom line is that we were very clear that we were not pleased with the contractors she had recommended and were just surprised that she did not take more ownership as her referrals obviously cost us dearly. In fact, we are still paying for their mistakes.
