My wife, twin boys, and I had just moved from Charlotte, NC earlier in the year to be closer to family. We had set up appointments with about a dozen realtors to show us various houses in the Des Moines metro. Alexis met us to show one house and was very knowledgeable, understanding, and attentive. We decided to move forward with her as our Realtor. She showed us quite a few houses until we narrowed it down to just two. We made an offer nearly 10% under asking price and due to her strong negotiating skills, our first offer was accepted (and based on the comps was a steal). We achieved a price in the neighborhood that was typical of homes being purchased during the height of the recession.We are extremely happy with our home choice as we are within walking distance to Jordan Creek Mall and in Waukee schools.I can't say enough about Alexis Johnson's industry knowledge and helpfulness. I would and do recommend her to anyone looking to buy/sell a home in the Des Moines metro. We never felt pressured, she provided sales comparables to review, and always found time to show us a home we were interested in...almost always within 24 hours.Thanks for all of your help Alexis, my family and I really appreciate it.
