We reached out to Mike to assist in selling our multifamily home after striking out with another realtor at a different company that was highly recommended by a friend of ours. We are very glad that we made the decision to go with Mike. Our former home is a lovely and unique historic home and required creativity, customized messaging and a tailored marketing approach to reach the right kind of buyer. Mike worked closely with us throughout the winter, mostly remotely since we moved out of state, leading up to the relisting of our home. Throughout the process, Mike put us at ease not only by offering to look over the house while we were away but also by helping us broker a lease with a great new tenant. He welcomed our input, assured us throughout the process, and was highly proactive and responsive throughout. He was great at providing ideas on restaging the house and he was effective in highlighting the special attributes of the property when reposting our listing. Mike's hard work resulted in us receiving a successful offer on the first weekend of the open house with Mike. We are happy that our home went to a great couple and couldn't be more complimentary of Mike during the entire process. We are just sad that we can't use Mike to help us with our new home purchase in our new home state.

Mike has been excellent to work with both as a renter and now as a home buyer. We relocated to Brookline a few years ago, and Mike was responsive from day one. He helped us find an apartment that met everything on our must-have list and that was in our budget. Most recently, when looking to purchase our first home, we immediately knew to turn to Mike.Boston is already a very competitive market, but with COVID-19, the areas we were looking at became even more competitive (20+ offers, several hundred thousand above asking, no contingencies, you name it). Mike was very helpful in navigating the market and advising us on pricing and strategy. Mike's communication is excellent, and he was proactive in our housing search. Where some realtors will simply add your criteria to the MLS and wait for you to reach out, Mike would reach out to us if he saw a house pop up that might be a good fit. He worked to set up private showings (as our work schedules made open houses difficult), and he was always available to attend both showings and open houses with us. We were not easy clients - over our many months long search, we looked at well over 20 houses, had to set up private showings for a majority of them, and asked a lot of questions about disclosures that required back-and-forth with the seller's agent. Not once did Mike ever make us feel like we were a burden, and he enthusiastically handled every request we had of him. There are several great things about working with Mike, but my favorite is his ability to communicate with the seller's agent and gain insights into what the best strategy is for a given house. He asked questions we never thought (or forgot) to ask, and it made us feel confident we were going into an offer with all of the information we needed. Lastly, Mike never pressured us to offer more than we were comfortable with, and he kept us motivated and patient as we waited for the right house to come along. In the end we snagged an incredible house for an incredible deal (we paid less than the appraised price), and Mike was there every step of the way until closing answering all of our questions and making sure everything ran smoothly.I highly recommend Mike to anyone needing a realtor in the Greater Boston area.

I recently worked with Mike Tinsley on purchasing my first condo and I can't recommend him enough. Mike is very professional, intelligent, super-competent, and kind and makes this stressful process as easy as possible. He's always available, communicates very well and even anticipates your questions and concerns. I know he has many other clients but the level of caring and attention that he gives to each case, makes you feel like you are his only client. I didn't know anything about home purchasing and he patiently answered all my questions for weeks. I've learnt so much from him. As much as I was looking forward to the end of this process, the one thing I'm going to miss is working with Mike. It's been a real pleasure working with him and I'm not exaggerating when I say he's the best real estate agent in the area!
