Buying: My wife and I met Laurie Hassey as a result of searching for homes on Zillow. Wanting to downsize and find a good house for retirement, we entered our desired size, price, etc in the Zillow alert filters. One of the houses from that query was a listing by Laurie Hassey, so we made an appointment with her to see it. That house didn't work out, but we were both impressed with how Laurie focused - she listened and helped us consider things we had not thought of. After walking away, my wife and I discussed how much we appreciated the agent we'd met, and consequently decided to ask Laurie to work with us as we continued our search. We ended up finding what we feel is the perfect house for us. Laurie's advice was invaluable in working through all the steps and details of buying the house. Our best description of her is: solid knowledge of real estate, responds to calls/questions quickly, and very pleasant to work with.Selling:Initially we planned to rent our previous home, but when our plan changed, we called Laurie about listing it. We wanted to do some upgrading before we listed, and she had tips on what improvements would make our home more marketable. Additionally, she said that she had teamed up with two other experienced agents, Layne Lundeen and Claire Durand and that they would all work together to sell our home. They all went to bat for us and did an amazing job: staged our house with their furnishings, brought in a professional photographer, and did a beautiful job with the online listing. This was followed by open houses and advertising in Homes and Land magazine. All of the steps of our sale were handled in a professional manner, and we were happy to sell quickly in what is usually unproductive time of year for our location. After our experience with buying and and selling with Laurie Hassey and the Tanque Verde Trio, we wholeheartedly recommend them.

It wouldnt be an exaggeration to say that ittook almost this entire year to start to feel like we had our lives back, but it did and that islargely in part to the hard work of the Tanque Verde Trio. Laurie took the lead in selling ourhouse which had several issues that precluded it from selling for almost eight years off and onthe market again. It was a long hard road and we went through three realtors/agencies in thateight years. The Tanque Verde Trio accomplished in one year, what didnt happen with twoother realty agencies in seven years! To say we had all but given up the hope of moving on tobuy our next home in North Carolina would not be overstating our situation. But we are goingto close on that property in about ten days thanks to Laurie and her team. She was alwayspositive, even when we werent and gave our house and situation special attention. When wefinally had a serious buyer, Bob Dauernheim stepped in to help with the closing giving extraattention to every detail and concern from us as well as his clients, the buyers. He even spentan entire morning in 100 degree heat watching over a septic team to make his clients feel atease through the buyers due diligence process. Laurie Hassey is one of those rare individuals who strive always to satisfy their clients despite personal inconvenience. I chose Laurie for the sale of my upscale home for this very reason. I knew, of course, the expertise of Long Realty's Tanque Verde Trio agency, and particularly Laurie, in my neighborhood. Her sales, and that of her team, were evident from years of noticing how quickly her listed properties sold. So after my wife died and I decided to sell, I called Laurie.I'll admit to being intimidated by the work ahead of me. But Laurie came out six months ahead of planned listing date and advised me on the priorities that would facilitate sale at the highest price. I called her often during this prep period, and Laurie was quick to respond, even though I hadn't yet signed a listing agreement.The work to ready the house paid off, and as a result, Laurie suggested we raise the planned price point, much to my delight.A problem arrived shortly after signing a listing agreement when to beat the coronavirus lockdown, I needed to leave before my listing went live. Laurie stepped in and took over. Pictures, description, measurements, etc. all turned out better than I expected. Laurie's team's communication was timely and abundant. But more was required, as I was gone, and arrangements needed to be made for the property to be secured and for my move, storage and shipment, not just from my house but from a storage unit I'd rented. Laurie arranged all of it, and on favorable terms. no less. We got the price we wanted in a matter of days. and the move Laurie orchestrated stunned me in its ease. Her actve involvement in all aspects of the planning, listing, marketing, sale and move relieved all my earlier anxieties.I've bought and sold numerous properties in the course of my life, but I can safely say Laurie Hassey and Long's Tanque Verde Trio are the most professional realtors I have encountered.I cannot recommend Laurie highly enough to fully express the depth of my appreciation.
