Long and Foster Real Estate was founded in 1968 by West Foster and Herbert Long. Wes Foster later bought out Mr. Long and went on to grow what started as a one-office company in Arlington, VA to the largest independent real estate firm in the USA with offices from New Jersey to South Carolina and from Deleware to West Virginia. In recent years West Foster sold the firm to the Berkshire Hathaway section of the Warren Buffet empire and the company retains it's ability to operate independently and with much success as it continues to expand it's footprint. It remains the largest real estate broker in the Washington DC metro area, and Boomer Foster, Wes Foster's nephew remains in Senior Management with the company.

We wanted to sell our house after renting it for several years. We live on the west coast and so the whole process of rehabbing the house, getting it ready to put on the market was a little daunting for us. While living in Maryland we knew about David reputation as an excellent real estate agent. So it was a natural choice to call him up to seek his assistance. From the very beginning David was an absolute gentleman. He was patient, attentive, and went above and beyond what I expected a real estate agent would do. He organized for various trades people to come and work on the house, monitored and followed up on the progress of the work. Took before and after photos. Liasoned between us and the trades people, HOA agents etc. He and his team cleaned, priced, staged the house. He hired a professional photographer to take excellent photos of the house and property to be placed in countless newspapers, magazines and brochures. He took time out of his busy schedule to hold multiple open houses. He set up email notifications so that we could keep track of the showings and see the magazine publications for our house. You can fully trust David to be meticulous, responsive and hardworking to get the job done. Before he left for his holiday, he made sure that everything had been completed ready for closing and even while he was on holiday, he still kept us informed as to what was happening with the closing process. He always makes himself available to be reached by text, phone or email. You can't go wrong with David. We highly recommend him. You will not be disappointed.
