After a 9 month home search with another agent and multiple failed offers, my wife and I met Ramsay when he was overseeing an open house for a lovely property in Melrose. We stayed a bit to ask questions and were impressed with his knowledge of the area, his suggestions for submitting a winning offer, and his general demeanor- he exuded warmth and intelligence.As we left the open house I told my wife, "We are firing our agent and hiring Ramsay."So we did, and two months later we were submitting a final and best offer on what is now our home. During our weeks of home-searching with Ramsay, there were open houses and visits in which he demonstrated his insight of home systems and updates that could offer good return on investment. If you don't see the potential in a property, Ramsay can help you see it. He always made time for our many questions and provided thoughtful answers, and if for some reason we managed to stump him, he circled back with the RE/MAX team and got back to us as soon as possible.When we were ready to make an offer, he went over every part of the paperwork with us and worked with us to craft an offer that we were comfortable with while giving us the best chance of winning. He presented the offer in person to the sellers and sellers' agent rather than faxing it over. When there was another bid, he worked through with us strategies for our final and best offer, and again presented this in person to the sellers. Ramsay's actions and negotiation skills were crucial in our winning the offer. After having our offer accepted, Ramsay provided names of inspectors, mortgage brokers, and lawyers- several for each, with pros and cons presented. Every person we've worked with per his suggestion has been excellent. I've had several friends warn us of how stressful closing on a house can be. This was not my experience- Ramsay guided the way and it was smooth sailing. Ramsay is strategic, highly knowledgeable, intelligent, patient, hard-working, and always made us feel as though we were his top priority. He was truly a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone buying a home in the greater Boston area.

Ramsay made our mission to find a home his personal mission and stopped at nothing to find us the perfect place. He went above any beyond during the entire search - which in Boston could be a little competitive at times - and kept us laughing to whole time. We ended up with a dream home we never expected to get and paid tens of thousands less than we had planned due in large part to Ramsay's negotiating skills. And even still, after an easy closing, Ramsay is guiding us through a renovation with his many contacts. We'd be helpless without him!
