Judy Weinberg was our realtor in our search for a house in Arlington, and we couldnt have asked for a better person to help us find our home. Why is Judy so great?1) She is honest, open and not pushy. She took the time to learn what we were really looking for and wouldnt waste our time taking us to places we would not be interested in. We had pretty specific lists of requirements and were particular about many things aEUR" Judy never tried to steer us towards a house that was not right for us. 2) She prioritized our needs. She made herself available to go see places that we were interested in or, on rare occasions, offered to make arrangements with someone else in her office if the scheduling was impossible. After deciding to make a offer on a few places, she met with us at a time that was convenient to discuss an in-depth strategy on how to make a strong offer in a competitive market on a particular property.3) She has her finger on the pulse of the Arlington housing market. She has been working in this town for a long time and she would often be very accurate in estimating the price that something was worth and what it would ultimately sell for. I remember her saying in several cases aEURoeif you really want this house you should offer thisaEUR? and while it was our fault we didnt always take her advice, in retrospect, she pretty much hit the nail on the head 99% of the time. It is certainly a sellers market now and during the process we made several offers, often competing with numerous other offers. We came to rely heavily on her experience to make a fair, albeit over asking, competitive offer.4) Judy is always honest in her assessment of home, its potential and if she thought it fit what she had learned we wanted/needed. For example, she once went to see a house we thought might be a good fit and found extensive signs of termites aEUR" she is the one who said to us aEURoethis is not your houseaEUR? and we are still grateful that we did not make an offer on it! Other times she would encourage us to look at places that we wouldnt have thought of. She would make insightful comments about pros and cons of a particular house aEUR" aEURoethis one has potential to be your dream home if you do xxxaEUR? or aEURoethis house is at its best and it will never have the xxx that you are looking foraEUR?. See points 1 and 2 aEUR" honest, not pushy and prioritized our needs. We saw it over and over again.5) Once we had an offer accepted she very patiently guided us through the process, helped us push our less-than-perfect lawyers into getting what we needed done and really helped ease our minds knowing that someone else was watching out for our needs. 6) She is a kind, funny, socially conscious person that is really enjoyable to spend time with. We miss her now that we are not seeing her on a regular basis! If you are going to be working with someone to make one of the biggest decisions/purchases of your life, I cant think of a better person to help guide you through the process.We have recommended her to good friends and would work with her again in a heartbeat.
