I have to share my experience about how unprofessional and petty Deb is. The summary is: I did all the searching and identification of properties myself on Zillow; I had to change my schedule around to accommodate Deb's; we only visited 2 properties for a total of about 90 minutes; then Deb had the nerve to tell me that I "wasted her time" and sarcastically thanked me for choosing a different agent, suggesting that I was the problem. If you would like more detail, continue reading below. I had requested showings of two properties that I found in Zillow and was automatically matched with Deb. Since we were looking at other homes in other areas, we were also matched with other agents. Deb was aware of this fact because we were meeting her for showings in a time range "between other showings", that she was obviously not a part of. We also had to adjust our entire day to accommodate her schedule, which feels a little backwards from a customer service perspective. On the day of the showings, everything went fine. Deb arrived on time and was familiar with the area's amenities. The settings for the houses were sub-par, and thus we ultimately passed. While I feel that Deb tried to sugarcoat the deficiencies of the properties, I expect some of this from most real estate agents, so I wasn't surprised. Despite the fact that we had set aside time to visit at least one more house in the area, Deb didn't provide any suggestions. We did discuss a third house in another area, but it was one that I was already aware of and had been dealing with a different agent on, for that area. We left Deb to meet with another agent to explore houses in a different area, but told Deb to let us know if anything pops up in her area. The unprofessional really started in her follow up email. She identified a couple listings and asked when I wanted to visit the third house that we had only talked about. I immediately responded telling her that those were in the areas where I had been working with other agents, that we were already aware of those properties, and that I wanted to respect the efforts of the other agents and continue to work with them. Her response was, "What a waste of my time." I thanked her for making the choice to maintain my relationship with the other agents an easy one, to which she replied, "Thank you, that's great!!" At that point, I ended all communication with Deb. I have never run into a real estate agent that did so little for me, yet felt so entitled. Thank goodness I discovered her true character early on.
