TL;DR: Nancy is a responsive and knowledgeable real estate agent that helped my husband and me buy the house of our dreams on our first bid.When my husband and I started the house hunting process, we did not see much value that a real estate agent provided. We purchased our first house eleven years ago and that agent didnt seem to do much except collect a commission check. So you can imagine that we were much more skeptical the second time we decided to buy a house. Nancy has gone above and beyond to prove our preconceived notions wrong. And the result...in under two months my husband and I purchased our beautiful new home on our first bid. Here are just a few of Nancys qualities that I appreciated the most:Communication - Nancy stayed in constant communication with us throughout the whole process. From recommending properties to view, to chasing down questions we had about the homeowner inspections, to providing advice throughout the bidding process, and even getting in touch with the previous owners after wed moved in when questions came up. Additionally, Nancy was always quick to respond. Our preferred method to communicate was text message and e-mail. Her text replies were always immediate and she replied to our e-mails by the end of the day.Responsiveness - Our requests were never too menial and Nancy followed up on every question that we asked. At one point she even went down to city hall to pull the houses building permit record to explain a question we had about one of the renovations listed. Knowledgeable - Our dream home was the second home that Nancy recommended we view. This is only possible because Nancy is knowledgeable about the properties in Alameda and really listened to what we were looking for in a house. Based on our criteria she was able to recommend houses that fit our specifications.Buying a new home is one of the biggest purchases in your life. As a buyer, you should have high expectations from your buying agent. Nancy will exceed those expectations.
