When I finally had the means to buy my first house, Sue Long and Riley Nix were the first and only realtors I called. Between Sue and Riley, we had an entire team backing us up, showing us homes at a moments notice, writing offers, helping with any and all questions without delay.When youre green to the home-buying experience, its easy to be overwhelmed and zero-in on homes that arent necessarily a great fit. For example, when my wife and I first started looking, I became enamored with an overpriced fixer-upper in SW Corvallis. Riley took us to see the place three times. I believe he knew that house wasnt a great fit for my family, but he didnt push us. Instead he asked us the right questions to encourage us to weigh our needs and priorities with the options.In the end we made the right choice, we bought a house in a terrific neighborhood in NW Corvallis (instead of the fixer-upper). There were at least four offers made within a day of our house going on the market, Riley was on-the-ball with our offer, and he wrote a cover-letter that helped nudge us to the front of the sellers list. To my knowledge, we didnt even have the highest offer on the table, but between his good representation and the sellers generosity, we got a house that really suits our needs and is perfect for my wife and me and our two young kids. Getting Rileys congratulatory call is a moment I wont ever forget.I hope to stay in our home for many years, but should we ever be in the market again, I will call Riley and Sue first. I highly recommend the Riley Nix and The Sue Long Team.
