We worked with Tom Hanton of the Belt Team both on the sale of our home and the purchase of our new one. We went into the process with a lot of uncertainty given this was the first time we were buying a house as homeowners. How do we time the transactions? Is it better to sell first and then buy? Would we need to carry two mortgages? Would we need to find a place to rent? Tom helped us navigate the process, everything from getting our house ready to go on the market, pricing it adequately so it could sell fast (in less than a week), hosting the open house through which we found our buyers, timing the search and purchase of our new home, to renting back our house until we closed the purchase of our new one. He was always very responsive, and always willing to talk with us when we needed it, during work hours, at night, on weekends. Every time we wanted to see a house, even houses we had already seen, he always made himself quickly available, even on short notice. For these reasons, overall, I was very happy with my experience working with Tom and the Belt Team, and I have no doubts I will call him when we are again in need of a realtor.
