Jonathan Vasquez helped us find our perfect second home in Big Bear. We were referred to the Rahill team at Keller Williams through our favorite ski shop in Big Bear. After much hand wringing about whether we could afford a second home, we met with Jonathan. He asked us questions about our needs and expectations, gave us an outline of the Big Bear area, and described the pluses and minuses of the various neighborhoods. Having a local real estate agent was essential. (My agent in Los Angeles could never give me this much information) He even knew which streets were a bit treacherous when covered with snow!After taking us on tours of several homes, we wanted to view, he was able to better gauge our desires from the reactions we had to the homes. Sometimes saying what we want may not be the same as really understanding what we liked and didn't like and he saw that. He clearly wanted us to be happy with our home and did not push us towards a quick decision. Jonathan was able to keep us up to date on any new listings and helped us gauge how quickly we needed to submit an offer since we live in LA. More importantly, he clearly had good relationships with the other listing agents and was able get permission to show us homes on short notice. In the end, he helped us find a wonderful home in a hot market. He was on top of all the escrow deadlines, recommended a fantastic inspector and contractors, worked closely with our mortgage broker and made sure everything moved smoothly. He even gave us the phone numbers and contact information to set up our gas, water, and electricity. Even after the purchase, he keeps us up to date on changes in the neighborhood that might effect our home value. This is especially important as a vacation home owner. Jonathan is a full service agent that made our buying experience easy and a joy. I would recommend him to anyone interested in buying in Big Bear.
