I would highly recommend Jody Berkowitz to anyone who needs an excellent realtor. I met Jody as a fellow volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Manville, NJ, just as new store was opening in the fall of 2018. Jody struck me right away as genuine, friendly, approachable, dedicated and hardworking. I soon learned that she is a realtor who lives locally, has a great deal of realtor experience and knows our central NJ area well.When it was time for us to sell our rental home in Manville last year Jody was our first choice of realtors. We were impressed with Jodys professional approach in every aspect of the marketing. She gave us sound, straightforward advice for improvements that we should invest in to get the house ready for sale, without going overboard. She made practical decluttering suggestions and then came in with her stager to add a few simple touches, which added freshness and pizzazz to the home. She thoroughly researched comps in the areas and suggested a realistic asking price. When the house was ready to put on the market, Jody wrote an enticing description for the listing and produced a beautiful brochure with professional photographs highlighting the best features of the home. We were proud when the day came to put the house on the market.We received a great offer on the house ($6,000 above asking price) the second day it was shown. Even after we accepted the offer, Jody continued with her plan to hold an open house, in case we needed or received a back-up offer. Jody recommended a Manville attorney to handle the legal aspects of selling, inspections went smoothly and we closed on the house six weeks from the date of accepting the offer. During the whole process, Jody was receptive to any questions we had and always had answers for us in a timely manner.

We had a fantastic experience with Jody as our realtor and would 100% recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. She was always very honest, down to earth, and extremely knowledgeable about the area, current market, and the entire process of buying/selling a home. Being first time home buyers, we were very nervous and had lots of questions. She was extremely responsive and patient with every question we threw her way and never pushed us to make a decision we were uncomfortable making. Upon first meeting Jody, she really took the time to understand our wants/needs and clearly kept our best interest in mind. When we requested to see houses that were likely not "the house", she never made us feel as if we were wasting her or our time. You can tell Jody has worked in the industry in this area for quite some time as she was able to recommend great inspectors, attorneys, etc and was very well liked by all counterparts in the transaction. Definitely a great person to work with and we will definitely work with her again if the opportunity arises in the future!!
