Im so happy to write this review of Brendan Sanford and his team! We met Brendan at an open house that we stopped by on a whim one afternoon. We had an immediate rapport with him and felt like he was very knowledgeable about the ever-changing real estate market of the last 2-3 years. We were in the market for a resale home with some specific requests with a wide-open timeframe so we decided to engage with Brendan to see what he could do. The first meeting was an educational sessional that provided a wealth of information, introduced his team, and set expectations for both sides. From that point through to the closing on our perfect home, we felt like Brendan and his team had our back! They found homes for us to look at, took our feedback on those showings, and further refined our search. When we did find our dream home, Brendan worked hard negotiating on our behalf to get us the best possible deal. He and his team kept us on track with tasks we needed to accomplish and so we didnt lose any time. We received regular updates during the process and never felt uninformed. Our closing was less than 4 weeks from the day we first saw the property and it was an amazing experience. Brendan knows real estate. He has built an amazing team in Shi-Shi & Samantha who are both a joy to work with. He also has a carefully curated referral network of companies like mortgage, home warranty etc. Even the referred companies provided us with terrific service! (Ill be writing reviews for days!) I found Brendan Sanford on the Internet when I began searching for a realtor to sell my home. When I first met Brendan I explained that authenticity and honesty is very important to me. It was a very difficult decision to sell my home. It was a very emotionally upsetting experience to begin with and Brendan?s response was to placate and patronize. He notified me at one point that he was going on vacation. When I asked him when he was returning he said ?on Wednesday?. He made it sound like he would be returning five days later but in fact it was 12 days later that he would be returning. We had two conversations in which he led me to believe he would be gone for only five days. My house was left on ?pending status? the whole time he was gone. Once he returned The second buyers requested to extend the option period. He actually agreed to the extension prior to checking with me . At that point I lost my temper on the phone with him because he had lied to me about the vacation time by omission and was making decisions without my prior approval. He hung up on me and the next morning I received an email that I would be on email only communication with him and Keller Williams Realty. I repeatedly asked him when he had become licensed. He never answered the question but only responded that he had already told me. Since I already had buyers I did not terminate my contract with Brendan Sanford but in retrospect I should have. Brendan was hardly communicative during the actual negotiation of the sale and Was completely absent during the whole closing process. I sent an email the weekend before the closing date letting Brendan and KW know that I wanted to be able to extend my time in the home for a few days because I was going to have a very difficult time getting out of the house by closing date. I received no response back from Keller Williams or from Brendan Sanford. In fact Brendan never made another communication with me after the negotiated sale price. I had to contact the buyers realtor twice because I was not receiving any response from Mr. Sanford. One time was when the inspector for the buyer informed us that there was a leak in my roof. I repeatedly asked Brendan where in the roof the leak was located and he kept referring me back to the photograph from the inspector which gave no indication of the location of the leak. So I contacted the buyers realtor who put me in contact with the inspector and he told me where the leak was. The day of the closing I was not able to get all of my things out of the house and I contacted the person at the title company who told me to come in and sign the papers and then go back home and get out by 5 o?clock. I was not able to vacate the house by five and I communicated back with Keller Williams and received no assistance. The next day I was told I had until 2 o?clock to get my belongings out before I could even get to the house the title company informed me that the buyers realtor decided that she wanted to have the loan funded and that if I went to the house I would be considered trespassing. I received communication from Keller Williams that I was not to go to the house but they offered no assistance at all. The following Monday I contacted the buyers realtor once again and pleaded with her for her humanity to allow me to get my things. She spoke to the buyers and the next week and I was allowed to get my things. Keller Williams Realty texted me after I sentThe email requesting to get my things from the buyers realtor. They actually tried to take credit for my being able to get my things out of my house. In fact the buyers realtor contacted Keller Williams Realty after I sent her the email to ask them to let me know I could get my things. During the sale of my house and my exit from the home at closing were times that I very much needed a realtor and Brendan Sanford was completely absent. At one point Keller Williams Realty asked member emailed and said we care about you Cole but there?s nothing we can do. I am not a difficult client. I am a client that gets very upset if someone lies to me or makes decisions for me or tells me to listen because of their experience . I have been in customer service my whole working career and in my position of 22 years as Director of client services my job was to handle complaints. So I have dealt with very difficult clients and human resources people my whole life. I have never had a worse customer Service experience than I had with Brendan Sanford and Keller Williams Realty. I should have terminated my agreement with Brendan as soon as he put me on email only communication but I had a buyer for the house. My house sold itself. I had two buyers because the first ones backed out but my house was only on the market for 11 days (excluding the time it was on pending status while Brendan was on vacation).
