I was the buyer for a home, and my real estate agent, Jeremy Fouse, simply forgot to contact the sellers to have the closing day pushed back. An extension was common knowledge to the sellers, the selling agent, my agent, and myself considering the amount of repairs that were necessary and up for negotiation. The selling agent tried contacting my agent twice within the final four days before closing (October 16th). Since my agent did not respond, the sellers cancelled the contract and sold the home to a different buyer. I was not informed about this or the fact that the selling agent was trying to have me sign a cancellation agreement until October 25th! My agent really dropped the ball, and through no fault of my own I had the money I spent on inspections and an appraisal swept out from under me. I'm looking to have my agent reimburse me for the $815 that I spent on the inspections and appraisal, but he refuses to pay a dime.
