I was the buyer for a home, and my real estate agent, Jeremy Fouse, simply forgot to contact the sellers to have the closing day pushed back. An extension was common knowledge to the sellers, the selling agent, my agent, and myself considering the amount of repairs that were necessary and up for negotiation. The selling agent tried contacting my agent twice within the final four days before closing (October 16th). Since my agent did not respond, the sellers cancelled the contract and sold the home to a different buyer. I was not informed about this or the fact that the selling agent was trying to have me sign a cancellation agreement until October 25th! My agent really dropped the ball, and through no fault of my own I had the money I spent on inspections and an appraisal swept out from under me. I'm looking to have my agent reimburse me for the $815 that I spent on the inspections and appraisal, but he refuses to pay a dime.

Fate accidentally brought us to Jeremy during our house hunt. We were planning a move back to Kansas and didn't know how we were going to approach this long distance house hunt, but Jeremy reassured us that we could get this done. We scheduled a weekend to visit several homes and since this was our first time purchasing a home, Jeremy was extremely helpful in pointing out flaws, as well as highlights, of each home we toured. Jeremy respected our budget, our tastes, and was very honest with us. Jeremy worked overtime to negotiate with the sellers to get necessary repairs and a fair price. Since we were coming from out of state and didn't know where to turn for financing advice, Jeremy was helpful to suggest a couple of different mortgage advisors. We chose one of Jeremy's suggestions and it was a very easy transaction. We will most definitely be giving out Jeremy's name to anyone who needs a realtor!
