Our experience with Jennifer went from great to beyond unprofessional. We found Jen based on her glowing reviews on this site accompanied by her credentials, and the notable realty group that she belongs to. My girlfriend and I are first time home buyers and are not overly familiar with the process of purchasing a home. After meeting with Jen the first time to look at some places we thought that her friendly attitude would lend itself to her being helpful from start to finish in the process. We meet with Jen on 4-5 separate occasions to look at places until we finally settled on a nice place that was right for us. The day we got together to sign the contract things started to feel a little different. While going through the contract Jen's smile turned to pure business as she blazed through the contract as if she had something more important to do. We weren't taken back by this at the moment as she had been so helpful up to this point. After brief negotiation, we had an offer on the table that was to be accepted by the seller, and that's when things began to really fall apart. Incomplete contracts with the wrong numbers were sent to us and our attorney, when we went to get the correct contract from Jen, there was no sense of urgency on her end, even though she knew that another party was planning on putting an offer in on the same house. Once all of the numbers were actually looked over and a complete contract made its way to our attorney, the contact information for the seller's attorney was wrong. When getting in contact with Jen about these issues she seemed as if she did not care and was very reluctant to do anything other than blame our attorney. Due to the debacle with the contract, we were in attorney review for an extra day and effectively lost the house, as a higher cash offer was put in the following morning. At this point, there was no apology, explanation, or re-assurance that we would keep looking and find another place. Rather, Jen cut communication with us and took us off of the listing website's mailing list to continue receiving listings. Beyond this point, nobody reached out to us to let us know where we stood in the process and what was next, instead I had to reach out numerous times to get through to Jen's manager who eventually reassured me that our deposit that had been cashed was on its way back to us. This was the worst and most discouraging house-hunting experience I have ever had and would not recommend using Jen to anyone as their real estate agent, regardless of what others have said.
