My story about James Baker Realty began when I called him on June 24, 2015 after my wife read his reviews and his customers raved that he was more than just a GREAT realtor, he was friend for life. We had already interviewed a few realtors at this juncture and had basically made a decision already that we would hire one of them. However, something told me to give James Baker a shot. I called James and immediately he told me he loved my home as he had sold several homes in my neighborhood in his 28 years of experience and that he would have no problem selling my home immediately as long as it was camera ready. He also told me and I quote, ?I am fired up to sell your home!? James arrived at our home and immediately after he walked through the front door he insisted on checking out every inch of my house and property. I was immediately impressed by his extensive knowledge of homes and home building techniques; bull-nose drywall, vaulted ceilings, and the like! He wrote down everything! He knows everything about houses. None of the other realtors that I interviewed (5 or 6) went through the house with such detail and overall enthusiasm to do the job. Finally we sit down at the kitchen table and he opens his bag to get out the research he had done on our home. When he gets out his folder it is for another home?! Understandable, he had been at the hospital all night with his wife and newborn baby and had come directly from the hospital for the listing appointment. But what followed really impressed me. Unfazed by having the wrong information for me, he quickly asked for a laptop and went onto a website where he completed his research, pulled up all of the comparables, and gave me the correct price on my home right then and there. James Bakers honesty, integrity and belief in God also won me over to ultimately hire him. Having a realtor that I can trust is of great importance to me. Like I said earlier my wife and I had basically decided on another realtor as we were impressed by the interview we had with them. However, during the interview I asked how many listings they currently had and they told me 11 or 12. When I looked at their website they had only 3. I asked James the same question and the answer he gave me was exactly what I found when I looked at his website. If you are looking for a realtor you can trust James is your guy. He will also tell you what is wrong with your house along with suggestions of how to correct the problems. Dont get all weepy and hurt when he makes suggestions, just do what he says and your home will sell immediately. James is even good at making suggestions to improve landscaping. As James stated in my listing I had a lush backyard. It was very nicely landscaped except for one small part. The previous owner had a small waterfall and pond in a 10 x 10 area next to the back patio that I never had time to renovate and it didnt look very good. Right when he walked out to the back yard he suggested that I make it an herb garden. The next day I gave a majority of the river rock to my father and promptly made a beautiful herb garden. Do you know how many prospective buyers raved about the herb garden? All of them of course. James Baker is also a great writer. He did a wonderful job writing up our listing. His grasp of the English language and his ability to use the written word to make your house sound as wonderful as possible is second to none. The listing sounded so good that after reading it I almost didnt want to sell my home anymore! We followed all of James? advise and priced the house as he told us to and we started receiving offers immediately. We received and accepted a full price offer after only 4 days on the market. James guided us through the whole process of selling our home with an amazing amount of patience all the while treating us like family. Unfortunately, near the end of our escrow the 1st buyer dropped out and we had to start from scratch. So James, being the great realtor that he is, suggested that we raise the price on our house because of the tremendous amount of action we saw at the previous price. Once again 4 days went by and we received another full price offer. The decades of experience that James Baker possesses came into play many times during the sale of our home and James always made the right call. Not only is James Baker a great realtor he is a wonderful human being and like the reviews that my wife read had stated, he will be a friend for life. During and since the sale of our home I have found a new golfing buddy and a wonderful friend. If you want to sell your home right away and you want a great realtor and a wonderful person to do the job, select James Baker. You won?t be disappointed. Oh yeah, one more thing. When James comes by your house (always on time) have a fresh pot of coffee ready for him. He really enjoys a good cup of joe!

If youre looking for a friendly, down-to-earth, straight-talking, highly experienced, and truly professional real estate agent, then I implore you to call Mr. James Baker immediately. From our first telephone conversation through our final signature at closing, James was at our beck and call -- he was always a text message or phone call or a quick drive away. James is one of those rare people that can deal with multiple clients at the same time and all the while continue to make you feel like his most important client. Having dealt with numerous real estate agents in the Lancaster/Palmdale area, I am very comfortable in telling you that James definitely stands head and shoulders above the rest. Let me put it this way, if I were EVER to be in the market for another home in northern LA County, there is only one agent that I would want to represent me, as either a buyer OR a seller, and thats Mr. James Baker. My family and I were overjoyed to have made a profit on a home that we lived in for only 9 months! I honestly believe that if we had utilized some other agent that we would have only broken even or even taken a loss. Thank you for taking the time to read this review.
