Darrell is a fantastic agent! He is very professional and knows the market here in West Michigan. I think he loves a challenge, especially when another realtor says it can't be done. We had an offer accepted for a new house contingent on the sale of our old house. The realtor representing the house we had the offer accepted said we could never sell out house for the price we wanted and the timeline given in the contract. Not only did we get asking, but it sold 5 days after being listed and the second day(first weekend)of showings. That was a month ahead of what the contract deadlined and our house which was still under construction waiting for flooring to be installed.Darrell made this whole process comfortable and easy. From the initial meeting, to the day of closing he was very confident and offered perfect advise. Darrell was always a phonecall, a text, or an email away. I was referred to Darrell by a friend who purchases investment properties for rent and he had high praise for Darrell so I gave him a shot. I immediately noticed a difference between him and previous realtors. Given that I live out of state, I had to rely on Darrell to be my eyes and ears. He gained my trust by being very detailed in his assessment of the property that I eventually purchased. After he went to an open house for the property, he wrote a lengthy email which outlined his overall assessment, specific pros, items that would need to be fixed, and other considerations. He also took a lot of pictures of items that you wouldn't typically see on Zillow or RedFin. All of this along with a few conversations with Darrell had me feeling pretty good about making a strong offer on the property. Since he does investment real estate himself, he had some unique perspectives that you don't get with a regular realtor. While I closed on the loan, Darrell was still attentive and made sure we had an addendum for the seller's agent to remove any remaining items in the house since that was one of the contingencies. It was a good thing we had this in place because the seller failed to move everything out prior to close. This saved me about $1,000 in cash that it would've taken to move everything. I would highly recommend Darrell as a realtor - especially if you're an investor.

From the first contact with Darrell he had our best interests in mind. We had not problems with contacting or communicating with him. He took into account our personalities and preferences during this process and advised us in our decision making. He is so knowledgeable of the Caledonia area his background experience was evident. We started the process of walking though homes just before the Coronavirus pandemic and the stay-at-home orders were in place. Despite these abrupt changes to the home buying process Darrell was able to creatively get through these barriers while maintaining safety. With social distancing we were unable to walk through this home. Darrell contacted the sellers realtor to arrange and instruct him on performing a virtual walk through using Zoom. All went smoothly and believe it or not we put an offer in on a home we hadnt physically been inside. We trusted Darrell advisement and expert offer writing that made our offer contingent in the event that there be delays in inspections, in-person walk through, etc. Through this time we had constant communication and updates. The day of closing was anticlimactic honestly but in a positive way. Even with all the barriers and changes, Darrell made everything so fluid and enjoyable that the expected stress of home buying really wasnt there. Thanks for everything, Darrell!
