If you are looking for a quick read, here is the short story! Erica Young is an amazing realtor and person who works hard for YOU! I bought a $115K house, but was treated like I was a multi-million dollar client! She is AMAZING in every sense of the word. She found the house I wanted, in the area I wanted, with the price range I wanted!!! She LISTENED and she CARED! I feel like I found a friend, not just a realtor. The long story: I was tired of being jerked around by agents who did not listen to me or who were not interested in finding me a home in my budget. I was moving 7 hours away from my present home in a short time to relocate for my new job and needed a home. I didn't want to settle, but was getting frantic. There was a house I wanted to see and no one would show it to me. Yes, I could have called the sellers agent, but I wanted to be sure the person was working for me. After speaking with several agents, I was discouraged. This was the only day I was in town. I called a friend who is a realtor upstate. He recommended Erica. She called me immediately and set up a time to see the house (THAT DAY), I LOVED IT! She even interviewed the mail carrier about the neighborhood. It was perfect. Erica suggested an amount when asked a price to offer. My husband wanted to go lower. With 2 days we were over bid and lost the house. I was devastated, but learned a valuable lesson. LISTEN TO YOUR REALTOR! Houses were going quick. I couldn't get back down to the coast quick enough to see a house before it would have a accepted offer and off-the-market! We found a couple of houses a block from the beach. Erica brought a friend that knows construction and remodeling and visited the homes face timing me. We are in the middle of a pandemic so this seemed acceptable:). I loved the location of the first house but it was determined it would require too much demo and remodel to be accessible for my son who uses a wheelchair for mobility. She face timed from the second house. We were both excited!!! This house already had accessible features, the remodel would not be overwhelming and it was only a block from the beach . I went in at full asking price; I learned my lesson the first time. I was nervous, but I trusted Erica. She helped me find a mortgage broker who would work with me (I was doing this on my own and still had a house in another state) and COMMUNICATE with me. She walked me hand in hand all the way through the process talking me off a cliff several times and calmed my nerves. She met with contractors for estimates. She negotiated a great deal with the agent for the seller. They paid my closing cost and agreed to pay for a new roof. She would call to check on me several times. I do not think there was a day she didn't call, text, or email through this process (weekends and holidays included).. The first time I actually saw my house was the week we closed, bought site unseen. I have my dream BEACH COTTAGE, I can see the water and feel the breeze from my front yard. we have made many changes to our little home by beach. I am so very grateful to Erica for walking with me and carrying me at times through this process. I am thankful she was someone who listened to me and truly wanted to find me the home I wanted and needed for my son. She saw the diamond of what this home could be, what it would be. WE ARE HOME!! I am thankful for Erica each and everyday, It is because of her we are now in our dream cottage.
