When my wife and I (first time homebuyers) were searching for a realtor we intended to interview a few before deciding on one. Bruce was the first and last that we spoke to. We immediately knew he was the realtor for us. Here are the reasons why:Ethical - Bruce was aware of our financial situation and could have used that information to push our deal through faster (and at a higher commission to himself) without us ever knowing otherwise. However, he did not do this. Instead he masterfully negotiated our purchase for us, at his expense of time and money, which ultimately saved us thousands. That level of service is rare.Straight shooter - Bruce will tell you whether he thinks a home is a good purchase or not. His first priority is ensuring the buyer is happy with their home. This honesty and straightforwardness is important with what is likely one of the biggest purchases of your life. Notably, because Bruce also has experience in construction his knowledge level of homes and their potential problems is higher than average.Availability - Bruce is going to handle your transaction himself. You will not be passed off to a team. He has many years of experience in the South Bend - Mishawaka - Granger - Osceola market. In my opinion this is advantageous over a team (who may or may not communicate well) approach.Independence - When my wife and I were searching for a realtor Bruce being an independent business owner indicated two things to me. 1) He must be doing something right if he's made it as an independent realtor for this long and 2) I knew there would be no potential conflict with a co-worker representing the other side of the transaction. This helped me sleep at night, knowing that our situation would handled confidentially.Bruce is an excellent realtor. He is all substance and no flash. Use him. You will not be disappointed.
