I cannot express my gratitude to Darmin enough! I am a first time buyer and the process was a lot more overwhelming than I had anticipated. Darmin was extremely knowledgeable and supportive all the way through. I had lots of questions and he made sure to get me the most accurate answer as efficiently as possible. He was a great advocate for me in negotiations; he helped steer me from bidding on properties that had a lot more work than met the eye; he kept me encouraged and optimistic as we were outbid. Darmin made the entire process, from searching to finally buying my dream triplex, smooth, comfortable and empowering. I never felt like he didnt have my best interests at heart and genuinely wanted to find the best fit for what I was looking for. Grant Inaba is the best of the best! My boyfriend and I were actually referred to him by our lender (at that moment in time; I say this because we didn?t get to close with him) and from the very first phone call, Grant demonstrated a standard of customer service that is out of this world ? in the best way possible!!! He made himself available to meet with us same day, on a couple of hours? notice, and made it super convenient by coming to us. My boyfriend and I have a few realtor friends and planned to meet with all of them one-on-one to decide who to go with. Well, Grant was our first meeting and after that, we didn?t have to look anymore. He walked us through the entire process, and then through each phase in detail, every step of the way. As first-time buyers, this was especially important to us. Purchasing a home, not to mention, your FIRST home, is particularly stressful? even more so when you have no idea what?s going on or don?t understand the process. Grant eliminated the anxiety that comes with not knowing/understanding. He was patient, not at all condescending, and offered to go above and beyond, wherever he could. We were pretty intent about closing on a home before the end of the year (we started in September) and accomplished that goal. Since we were in a bit of a hurry, we asked to see 2-3 houses at a time. Grant handled this tall task effortlessly and expediently and made arrangements with whoever he needed to, to get this done. We literally didn?t have to do anything but send him listings. He created agendas for us to see them and in an order that made sense. There was never any pressure on us to put offers in on a certain (more expensive, perhaps) property. We relied on Grant heavily for his opinion on how much to offer on a house, what could be done to remodel things we didn?t like (Grant does contractor work on his own, too!), and whether or not a property was worth the hassle. Long story short, we got into contract on a house we fell in love with and weren?t able to close until 2 months later. I want to make it clear that none of this was Grant?s fault (our lender that we did end up closing with, sucked ? big time). As a matter of fact, he tried to make concessions where other people fell short by taking care of the problem himself (things that weren?t his responsibility) or comping us monetarily, from his own cut of the sale. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn?t think twice about choosing Grant as our agent (we would most definitely cut out the lender, but that?s a completely different story). He is absolutely the best! To this day, we still contact him for his input. We are real-life people and now, extremely pleased first-time homeowners. I really enjoyed working with Shaha, she provides unique knowledge that I was unaware of in the housing market and in the Bay Area in general. She really took her time and set up a call to see where I was at and explained to me various scenarios I could approach when purchasing a home. She then set up a meeting and mapped out the homes/condos I wanted to look at. But before viewing the homes she went into depth in regard to home prices, type of neighborhood, square footage, HOA fees, and if the home comes with amenities such as AC/Washer/Dryer etc. Our hunt started in Berkeley, San Leandro, Oakland, and El Sobrante. Eventually found an older home in Concord and put a bid in. Purchasing a home can become very challenging with all the competition around, Shaha will ensure that you put your best foot forward to win the home you want. We ended up winning the bid on our 1st attempt!!! One thing I really appreciated was the fact that Shaha went to battle for me in regard to getting some of the items within the house fixed as its an older home built in the 1950s! Great thing about Shaha is she will give you live updates, and scenarios if anything arises from the seller. Now its official!! I am a first-time homeowner!!! I highly recommend working with Shaha, she will provide you with live updates, answer any question you have and work with you to get you the home you want and or need!
