If you're looking to buy a home, start with Team Bedbury. We wereso impressed with the attention, advice and support Bob and Katgave us throughout the whole process. Their guidance wasabsolutely vital.We kicked off our home search pretty nonchalantly, without thesupport of a realtor. We saw open houses in what we considered tobe our price range and frequently checked out real estate listing sites, but never had much luck finding a home that spoke to us. Eventually, after too many open houses to count, my father suggested we work with Bob and Kat - although he hadn't leveraged them as realtorshimself, he knew they were top notch. We agreed to meet withTeam Bedbury, and before we even left our introductory meetingwe knew they were a perfect fit for us - they know their stuff, andare so charming to top it off. They make you feel like old friends,even when you first meet.Team Bedbury immediately started sending us options we hadn'tyet seen, and it didn't take long for us to find a house we wanted toput in an offer for. And although our first offer wasn't a winner (nofault here other than a crazy market!), we quickly moved on to thenext one with some cheerful encouragement from Bob and Kat -losing out on an offer is never fun, but Bob and Kat knew just howto get us back on our feet and keep us in the 'game'. And then ithappened - on only our second offer, we won!We have Bob and Kat to thank for such a speedy home search, andfor knowing exactly what we needed to do to get our dream firsthome. My husband and I began the search for our first home together a few months ago. With the market on the peninsula being so expensive, and being newlyweds, we thought a relator wouldn't have time for us and our budget, so we figured Zillow and random open houses were our only hope. We actually had our first introduction to Team Bedbury when we reached out regarding a listing on Zillow shortly after Christmas. Kat was extremely prompt in following up with a phone call to my husband (we were shocked she responded during the holiday season), and as soon as he got off the phone we knew we had to meet this team in person. Right from the start Kat was honest and direct, but with a genuine and kind perspective. Within a week we were sitting in Bob and Kat's office at Sotheby's. My husband works in finance, so his top priority was finding a relator who was going to negotiate the best and sharpest deal. I on the other hand am a teacher and needed a team with a personal touch, relators who would listen to my particular needs, help walk me through the emotions of trying to win our first home, and present themselves well to others. I never dreamed that we would find a team that could make both of us happy and meet both of our needs, as we met with some other relators who ignored me and only talked numbers with my husband, but Bob and Kat exceeded them! Bob and Kat expect their clients to be all in on the home buying process, because they are completely invested in finding you the perfect home. They showed us homes from Redwood City to San Mateo, took texts, calls, and emails every time we needed them, advised on what was realistic for our budget but never made us feel unimportant, and were ready to move immediately with the few offers we did put in. They advised us on price, location, neighborhoods, space, floor plans, didn't bat an eye the occasional times my parents were in town and joined in on the house viewing, and even listened to my husband and I debate in the kitchen when I thought a home was perfect for us and he just couldn't see it, but they always left the ultimate decision up to us. No pressure, no pushing our budget, no trying to force us into a neighborhood that wasn't right for us, and best of all, no favoring one person's opinion over the other. Bob and Kat kept telling us when the right home for us came up we'd both just know it. My husband and I had been out of town the Saturday and Sunday of a three day weekend, returned after a 6 am flight that Monday and were exhausted, but knew we needed to go out and just drive around to put some new perspective homes on our list. When we drove up to what we are now thrilled to call our home, it felt so right. We reached out to Bob and within a matter of hours he was able to get us in the home where we promptly fell in love. Bob and Kat have great relationships with other agents, you'll learn this quickly when you drop their name at an open house and the listing agent's face lights up, so Bob was able to very quickly get us a realistic idea of what we needed to offer to secure our perfect home. Within 12 hours and with as little stress and budget pushing as possible, we had a deal! My husband and I could not believe what had just happened and were so very thankful. We truly believe that without Team Bedbury we may have lost our dream home as their negotiation skills and well-respected reputations were the factors that sealed the deal. We could go on an on about Team Bedbury and the network of amazing home warranty, title company, and loan officer individuals they put us in contact with, but the biggest thing you need to know about Team Bedbury is that they mean everything they say from day one. When they tell you your dreams are nonnegotiable, you better get ready to believe it, because they helped us to realize ours!

When we started looking to buy our first house we had really no idea what it takes. We met Bob at our first open house where he was the listing agent. We were upfront that the house was out of our budget, yet Bob still went out of his way, walked us thru the house and explained the process in details. It was such a great experience at the time we thought that all the agents would be like that - turned out we couldn't be more wrong. Later, we were searching for house for a few months with no luck. We were not able to make commitments or meet our expectations. It was overall quite frustrating experience. Finally, we decided that we need to work with Real Estate agent. Having already met dozen different agents the obvious choice was to call Bob. And that is exactly the moment when everything started to be simple, smooth and even fun. We couldn't had chosen better.Bob and Kat were always there to answer every question also the ones we didn't know we have to ask. They made recommendation for different financing options out of which the banker we chose turned out to be really great. Soon we realized we are working with the entire Team of experts smoothly cooperating towards our common goal. After few weeks we had 2-3 houses under consideration. Bob and Kat went to see these houses and provided very meaningful insight. One of the houses was already longer on the market. We saw some potential in it but without their guidance we wouldn't be able to evaluate it properly. Bob and Kat helped to set the strategy to down bid significantly below listing price. We needed to act quickly to close the deal before the next open house on weekend. Once they got our decision they were able to put together the offer in just a few hours and close the deal the very same day.The entire escrow process for us was just a walk in the park. We went abroad for 10 days, yet the Team was still able to close it within planned 21 days. When my husband and I decided to start searching for a new home, we knew it was vital to find an amazing agent to help us in the tough Bay Area market. After all, we were looking for a modest home in a great neighborhood at the right place -- just like everyone else! So while we had an inkling that the right agent would make all the difference in our house search, we had no idea how true that would end up being when we found Bob & Kat.From the very first point of contact, we were impressed with them. Bob set up a phone call with us a mere hours after I reached out, and they were just as professional, honest, and charming when we met in person a few days later. Plus, you can't beat two agents for the price of one!While both Bob & Kat were available and responsive practically at all hours of the day (not an exaggeration), they set us up with a RealScout account and did leave most of the actual house searching to us. And it made sense, because it was practically a part time job! They definitely flagged some great houses for us to look at, but ultimately we had to figure out what we wanted in our next home for ourselves. It's allowed us to set aside that extra money to truly create the home of our dreams, much sooner than we could have ever thought. And, throughout every step of closing, they were available to help us navigate the process, give us fantastic recommendations for vendors during our move and preparation of our condo for rental, and still send us both birthday cards.We truly believe that we never would have been able to purchase this home if not for Bob & Kat. Their knowledge, dedication, and personal connections made this possible in a way that we never could have done on our own, or even with another agent.
