I'm not allowed 6 stars, so I will have to manage with the 5 stars they allow me to offer for an outstanding experience. Buying a house is a curious mix of business deal and emotional rollercoaster. Working with Alyx was fun and yet calm experience. There was none of the false, bright "Real Estate" persona. She is respectful and responsive and extremely well-respected. With an almost encyclopedic command of local tradesman and associates, there was a reassuring feeling of support and connectivity. From first appointment to final walkthrough, any question or concern brought an answer or an "I'll find out". And she would.And frankly, I'm picky - this wasn't a short process and Alyx knew which houses were worth my time and never gave the impression I was wasting hers. She offered great recommendations on which properties to see and which to avoid. (Which, even when she was over-ridden, always turned out to be accurate.)That same equanimity and market knowledge was invaluable in the negotiation process.I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

A great way to gauge a professional's standing in their respective field is to note the way that they are regarded by the colleagues they work with frequently. Everyone we met, from pre-authorization to closing with our attorney had exactly the same reaction when we told them the name of our agent: their face lit up and they said "I love Alyx, she's the best! She makes my job easier." Alyx is outstandingly organized, responsive, and personable; everyone she works with in related fields is happy to do her a favor, and that valuable advantage is passed along to her clients.I couldn't have asked for better guidance (and patience!) every step of the way.
