Last year (2014) my husband and I bought our first house. We were initially nervous and not sure what to expect since we had heard so many horror stories about the buying process. We met Jena Hayes at an open house and she was warm, inviting, and really seemed to listen to what we wanted, we instantly liked her. Once we decided to use Jena as our Realtor, we gave her information about the open houses we attended and she put together a list of properties she thought we might like. When we found a house we wanted to buy, she immediately went to work and even put in some late hours for us to get our offer in. The house we found was a little above our budget, but we loved it. We made an offer that was significantly less than the asking price, but towards the top of our budget. Jena recommended writing a letter to the sellers explaining who were were and why we loved the property. She also communicated to the seller that this was our best offer and we were not interested in negotiating a price. The sellers accepted our offer plus the majority of our closing costs. Everything about our experience with Jena was smooth and stress free. We could not have asked for a smoother first home buying experience.
