We were randomly assigned Tony via the Zillow app. This was our first home purchase and first time dealing with both listing and buyers agents. Because of the real estate climate in Eugene we had to make 9 offers in total before arriving at the house we eventually purchased. Overall, Tony was extremely pleasant to work with and knew both the neighborhoods quite well. He clearly had a preference for North Eugene, likely because your money takes you further up there. We ended up buying in the South, which was not a problem. There were one or two occasions where I mentioned real estate locations that we drove through that Tony was less familiar with (for example the strange area of Southeast Eugene Hills).On one occasion we offered on a house 40k over the list price and inevitably did not get the house (the sale price was 35k less than our offer). We think that, in that's case, Tony could have done more for us in terms of negotiating with the listing agent and also tailored our offer and timing of submission to maximize our chance of landing that particular house. Obviously myriad factors play a role in that, but still this is something that the agent has the ability to affect.Tony showed us probably close to 30 houses, and he seemed always happy and excited to do so. It helps that we also really like Tony, personally so seeing him was actually quite enjoyable even when the real estate in Eugene would disappoint.Overall I would recommend Tony to any buyer, I just hope that buyer has better luck than we did with our first 8 offers. In the end, however, we got the best place we could for our money so we are happy!
