Bought my house a few years ago when I inherited Karen from another agent who left the area. Her local knowledge was poor, but she had just moved here, so we gave her the benefit of the doubt. I got so frustrated with the search that I had my wife work with her and I stayed away. Eventually she found a house acceptable for my wife. Now recently I sold the home and Karen listed the house (due to my wife's persuasion). From the beginning it was not good. When I told her what I wanted to list the home for, she immediately told me that was way too high, the area was bad, and all kinds of negatives. I disagreed and told her I would agree to list it for $15k less, $25k less than I wanted to list it for. I said after a few weeks we could always reduce it, but I felt her comps were wrong. On day 1 we had 3 offers, including 2 full price. I know I could have, and should have listed it higher. Also, on the 3 offers, I was told 2 were cash and of course that changed. She also never worked the deals to get the best, highest offer. She told us we needed to accept the first one, which I believed to be cash, but was finance. Communications with her was very bad. She tells you one thing one time, and a completely different story the next. Not the most credible agent I've dealt with. Also I don't believe she was on time for any of our meetings (except closing). Not very impressed with my experience with her.
